The Lloyd E. Davis Award

This award is presented every other year during the AAVPT Biennial Symposium to recognize outstanding lifetime achievements in research, teaching and professional service in the field of veterinary pharmacology. This award honors the legacy of Lloyd E. Davis, his original research into comparative drug disposition and his significant contributions to the development of veterinary pharmacology and therapeutics as a discipline.

Tom Powers Keynote Address

In 2012, Thomas Powers, a long-time and founding member of the AAVPT, bequeathed a generous gift to the AAVPT. With this gift, a fund was founded, which is used to support an eminent keynote speaker for the Biennial Symposium. Through this mechanism, we honor his service to, and vision for, the Veterinary Pharmacology community by inviting an innovative speaker at the forefront of his/her field to inspire our community.
